A Day In The Life Of An Oil User
Hello again lovelies! Coming back at you with some oil info for that noggin of yours! I've been asked this question A LOT recently, "how much can you really use oils everyday?" I usually respond with something along the lines of, "Ummmmm what?! Ermagerd. YOU CAN USE THEM FOR THIS AND THAT AND THE THING YOU DO AFTER THE OTHER THING..." and so on. So instead of scaring the bejesus out of you, I thought I would (not so) calmly let you in on a day in the life of an oil user. That way you can truly see how essential oils can be integrated so easily into your life.
Chapter 1 - The Morning
After I have dragged myself out of bed, I usually head to the bathroom to address my face situation. I use a facial cleansing oil that contains argon and rosehip oils to cleanse my face. I add a drop (just one!) of Bergamot essential oil for its purifying properties. Plus, it's a calming oil and I definitely need extra help with that after my dreams have been rudely interrupted by the alarm clock. After gently steaming the cleansing oil off of my face, I use a facial serum that contains sea buckthorn oil to hydrate. In this I add a drop of Sandalwood and Geranium for their skin brightening abilities (and freaking amazing smell). Let me tell you, my skin has never looked or felt better!
If I'm off that day or have some extra time in the morning, I get my diffuser going ASAP. I have one on my main floor that I will put in my fav spirit lifting blends. My go-to's are usually Eucalyptus (promotes clear breathing) and Grapefruit (mood uplifting) or Basil (alertness and reduces anxious feelings) and Tangerine (smells like happiness).
After I have my diffuser going, I'll eat breakfast and drink a nice big glass of water with a drop of Lemon essential oil in it. If you're like me, you aren't the biggest fan of water. Adding lemon to it really gives it an amazing taste. The bonus of using lemon EO as opposed to actual lemons is mainly ease of use. First, you don't have to keep your fridge stocked with fresh lemons all the time. Second, you don't have to cut it and juice it all while making sure seeds don't make it in your water. Finally, you literally have to use ONE drop of lemon EO to get the amazing cleansing and purifying benefits of lemon. That's all. How simple is that?! Also, lemon EO does not contain citric acid, which makes it easier to digest for people with sensitive tummies and is safe for your pearly whites. Just a word of caution, not all essential oil brands are the same. I know and trust doTERRA and the quality of their oils. Being that they are 100% pure with absolutely no filler, contaminants, or anything other than essential oil in their bottles, they are safe to be ingested.
Along with my glass of water, I take the amazing Lifelong Vitality supplements that doTERRA makes. The LLV is one of doTERRA's most popular products as it is packed full of essential nutrients, metabolism benefits, and powerful antioxidants that are designed to help promote energy, health, and lifelong vitality (duh). Honestly, I have noticed such a change in my energy level and general overall feeling of goodness!
Next thing I do after chowing down on breakfast is brush my teeth using the oh-so-amazing OnGuard toothpaste. It is 100% natural and tastes delicious. The OnGuard blend is one that helps support our immune systems to work at their best! So why not have that in something you use on the daily, right?

Chapter 2 - The Daytime
I carry a bunch of oils with me throughout the day for anything I may encounter. Some of them include Peppermint (for tension and headaches), Breathe (helping to keep my respiratory system working top notch), and Passion blend (a beautiful blend that reminds me to stay heart-centered with everything I do).
I also don't go anywhere without a tube of Deep Blue Rub. This beauty is lotion that contains doTERRA's Deep Blue oil blend. The blend is da bomb for any muscle soreness, joint pain, or even physical fatigue. The bonus to this guy is that it is also 100% natural, which means you aren't dousing yourself in unknown pain reliever. My department at work smells like this 90% of the time because it feels great, smells great, and IT WORKS! DB is the real deal without any of the yuck.
I have a mini diffuser in my car going whenever I'm driving or commuting. Typically I'll add a citrus oil like Wild Orange or Lime because of the positive vibes these oils bring. There are already so many cranky drivers out there, so I try not to be one of them by using these oils.

Chapter 3 - The Evening
Diffusing in the evening is a MUST! The most wonderful thing about having these tools at my fingertips is knowing that when I get home, not matter what, I have something to go to. What I mean by this is, if I had a rough day, I know that I have an oil that will help me let go, move on, and relax. Same with having an awesome day, I know I have an oil to ground me. Oils I like to use in the evening are Balance blend (super grounding), Lavender (calming), Forgive blend (releasing), and Frankincense (relaxing). One or two drops of each in my diffuser when I get home helps me to wind down from the day.
My evening routine mimics my morning one in that I drink a glass of water with Lemon oil and take my LLV supplements with my dinner.

Chapter 4 - The Nighttime
Ahhh bedtime. I am a HUGE fan of sleep. I could stay cozied up in my bed all day if it was socially acceptable. But alas, I have to go out and "live my life" or whatever. But I digress. Since, I love sleep so much, I love getting my bedroom slumber worthy. I do this my using my diffuser (obvi) and adding my go-to nighttime blend of Cedarwood (soothing), Vetiver (grounding), and Serenity blend (soothing). I usually get this going about an hour before bed.
I'll wash my face using the same method as in the AM and brush my teeth.
About 20-30 minutes before I intend to pass out, I take 2 of doTERRA's Serenity Restful Complex softgels. These are simply the Serenity blend in pill form and they are unreal. The night before my wedding a popped 2 of these bad boys and slept 9 hours straight and through a thunderstorm! After that I will rub either OnGuard or Oregano diluted on my feet for added immunity fighting power.
Finally, I take one PB Assist capsule (probiotic) so that my gut is getting the optimal good tummy bacteria it needs to work at its best.
Then it's off to snoozeville! Population, moi!

I've just given you a glimpse into a typical day, but there are a ton of different ways I use oils everyday that I didn't mention. Some include battling sickness, using them for working out, in the bath, and more. I'm hoping to bring you some separate posts that are more focused on those ways in the near future. As for now, I hope this brought a little insight into this crazy oil girls ways and I'm sure you can tell that I use these oils A LOT! But the thing is, it is so damn easy to use something that helps me! Investing in our health is one of the smartest moves we can make.
To you happiness and health,
