I haven't been on here in a while, but I felt the need to share about something that is super important. That being mental health.

I am someone who is a functional super high anxiety person. To look at me you would never know that even getting up to go the work causes me a great deal of inner turmoil. I've learned how to cope with my anxiety, but I knew that wouldn't last long.

Eventually it was too much. I just wasn't myself anymore. The anxiety had taken over. If it wasn't for the support of my friends and family, I wouldn't be able to talk about it today. Along with that support, I reached for some natural tools to help me through these anxiety "spells" and really get back to living a more happy life.

I love to use my oils to help calm, ground, and center me. They help me when I'm feeling particularly high stress and truly have made such a difference in my life.

Something interesting that I had learned a few months back is that our gut health is connected to our mental health. This article simplifies it for us saying, "researchers speculate that any disruption to the normal, healthful balance of bacteria in [gut] can cause the immune system to overreact and contribute to inflammation of the GI tract, in turn leading to the development of symptoms of disease that occur not only throughout your body, but also in your brain."

It all makes sense when you think about it. When I was a kid, I remember having anxiety about school and the first thing I would say to my parents is, "my stomach hurts". By supporting our digestive systems, we are actually supporting our mental state as well!

Here are some oils that I would recommend to anyone who is suffering from anxiety or depression ((remember I am not a doctor, but I am someone who wholeheartedly trusts these oils and the solutions they have provided me)):

Well known for its ability to aid in digestion, soothe occasional stomach upset, and maintain overall digestive health when taken internally. It is important to note that when you are taking oils internally, the quality of the oils is so important. doTERRA oils are 100% pure and are safe for ingestion.

Try putting a drop on your thumb and placing it on the roof of your mouth before every meal in order to keep your digestive system doing what it's supposed to.

doTERRA’s grounding blend, appropriately named Balance, promotes tranquility while bringing harmony to the mind and body, and balance to the emotions.

When I wake up in the morning, I apply this to the bottom of my feet to start my day off on a good note. It is also great to diffuse around the house or adding it to the corner of the shower.

This oil has a unique aroma that is very earthy. It is known to provide a calming, grounding effect on emotions—making it an ideal oil for those with anxiety and depression.

Apply it to your big toes when feeling unsteady as well as in the diffuser before bed to help settle the mind for a restful sleep.

Turmeric essential oil has two unique chemical components, Turmerone and ar-Turmerone. which are most commonly known for their nervous system and emotional benefits. They promote feelings of positivity due to the anti-inflammatory properties. Remember, reducing inflammation in the body and the gut has a huge impact on our brain!

Take a drop or two daily via veggie capsule to help support your body in more ways that on.

DDR Prime Essential Oil Cellular Complex is a proprietary blend of essential oils combined to support cellular health, function, and renewal. Studies have show that DDR prime promotes a healthy response to free-radicals while supporting healthy cellular function. Ultimately, it helps clear all the yucky out of our cells so they can function at their best.

This blend comes in both oils and gel capsule form. Take it internally for all the awesome benefits.

More information on all of these oils can be found my googling "doterra" and the name of the oil.

Wishing you health and happiness,

Kelly xo
